Covid rates in Cavan and Monaghan continue to drop.

While Monaghan remains the county with the highest 14-day incidence rate in the country, rates in its three LEAs have dropped.

The Blanchardstown-Mulhuddart local electoral area in Dublin has the highest incidence rate of Covid-19 in the country, with the Monaghan LEA having the third highest at 754 cases per 100,000 people.

The Carrickmacross-Castleblayney area follows at 686 cases, while the Ballybay Clones LEA has a rate of 484.

In Cavan, the Cavan-Belturbet LEA is the only area in the county to record a rate above the national average at 393 per 100,000.

The Bailieborough-Cootehill area has a rate of 272, while the Ballyjamesduff LEA has the lowest figure in the region at 213.
