The Minister for Foreign Affairs will face further questions today over the proposed appointment of Katherine Zappone to a UN job in New York.
Simon Coveney will reappear before an Oireactas committee, after members last week raised serious concerns about inconsistencies in his statement.
Yesterday his department released texts showing he offered Ms Zappone the special envoy role four months before it was agreed by Cabinet.
