A motorist faces a court appearance following a PSNI checkpoint in Co Fermanagh. On Friday evening District Support Team were carrying out Vehicle Check Points in the Derrylin area, close to the Cavan/Fermanagh border when a vehicle decided not to stop. Following a pursuit and successful sting the vehicle later collided with a lamppost and garden wall before came to a stop.
According to police, after assistance from Air Support the driver was located and arrested for various motoring offences. Police also located a quantity of controlled drugs in the vehicle, and a passenger has been dealt with in relation to this. The driver in question has since been charged to court and faces another disqualification to add to an existing 10 year disqualification they already have in the Republic Of Ireland.
