The man and woman whose bodies were found in Cloverhill, Co Cavan last night have been named.
Gardaí are continuing to investigate but they're not treating the deaths as suspicious.
The bodies of Rolandas Jarmalavicius and Rita Martinkiene, who were both in their 40s, were found at around 8pm yesterday evening.
Forensics teams have been carrying out investigations at the rural cottage today in a bid to determine the cause of death.
Gardaí are treating the case as one of 'unexplained deaths' but they're not looking for anyone else in connection with it and are examining if the couple's deaths were accidental.
One line of inquiry is the couple died of alcohol poisoning.
They had been living in Ireland for almost a decade and were well known in the Cloverhill area.
A number of family members are living in Ireland and Rita has two grown up children from a previous relationship.
