The plans include four GAA pitches, synthetic hockey/ multi-sport pitch, cricket practice area/catch nets and all facilities with lighting.

In a lifetime spent on or on the sidelines of a GAA pitch, the Cavan Gaels clubman represented Cavan at minor, U21, junior level winning three Cavan SFC titles. 

The project consists of two developments: Clós Chill na Leice, at Main St Kilnaleck and Radharc na Beairice located at Barrack Road, Kilnaleck.

The cameras have been put in place on the N3 Cavan between Kilduff in the north and Billis in the south. 

The course is run on selected Wednesday evenings between 6:30pm and 10pm and everyone is welcome to attend.

The Cavan money is earmarked for Morrissey Park, Belturbet and Con Smith Park in Cavan Town.

Proprietor of the Deerpark Inn, is celebrity chef and two-time Michelin Star winner, Richard Corrigan.

A workshop for outdoor sports and recreation groups of all types will take place on Thursday, 17th October at 6.30pm at Hotel Kilmore in Cavan.
