Councillors in Carrickmacross and Castleblayney want to meet the HSE to discuss the high incidence rates in the area.
The Carrickmacross-Castleblayney LEA has the highest rate of infection across the region, at 443, which is a drop of 33 from the week previous.
However, despite the drop Fianna Fáil's PJ O'Hanlon says the high levels are 'nothing to be proud of'.
He wants to meet virtually with the HSE and pinpoint the sections of the community which are contributing most to the large figures.
