Councillors Paudge Connolly and Cathy Bennett say they'll cooperate with any inquiry into their foreign holidays.
The two Monaghan MD representatives came under fire last month for travelling outside the country, against Government advice.
Apologies were made at the beginning of today's meeting to the other elected representatives and to council staff for their actions.
Independent Councillor Paudge Connolly apologised for not taking Government advice on not to travel abroad, for not restricting his movements on return and for attending the Oireachtas golfing dinner in Clifden.
He had taken part in a golf tournament in Alicante eight days before the golf dinner in Galway.
He said his actions sent out the wrong message.
Cathy Bennett, who lost the Sinn Féin party whip for taking a family holiday to Lanzarote, reiterated previous apologies, and directed it today in particular to council staff and councillors.
In separate statements they both confirmed they'll work with investigations that may come in the future, either from SIPO or other bodies.
