A Ballyjamesduff councillor says plans to convert the former Percy French Hotel into a community and tourism hub are a “vital cog of the Ballyjamesduff regeneration scheme”.
Trevor Smith proposed the part 8 planning for the scheme, which will see the refurbishment of the hotel to make way for a café, remote working space, and accommodation to “return the hotel to its former glory”.
The works will also see the replacement of the two storey extensions on Stradone Street.
Councillor Smith says the hotel closed under bad circumstances and he looks forward to it becoming a hive of activity once again.
He told Shannonside Northern Sound that it will be a huge asset to Ballyjamesduff:
