A delegation from Monaghan County Council travelled to Denmark last week to study the Scandinavian country's road network model.
13 people from Monaghan County Council made the trip with most of the delegation made up of local authority engineers.
The aim of the trip was to learn about the successful Danish model of road infrastructure including cycle and walking pathways.
Denmark is listed as having one of the top 10 road networks in Europe.
