A Co Monaghan councillor is playing his part this Christmas by helping those who need it most.
Sinn Fein's Paul Gibbons who works with Castleblayney Food Bank all year round, says the festive period is when many households feel the financial strain the most.
Christmas is a wonderful time of year but for many within our community it is a time filled with dread giving the ongoing cost of living crisis.
Cllr Gibbons also highlighted the work of Teach Na nDaoine, describing the centre as a "great source of help" all year round.
Anyone who can contribute is asked to make contact with Castleblayney Food Bank with deliveries and services continuing across the festive period:
