Cavan County Council is being praised for its quick response to a recent landslide.
Heavy rainfall over the weekend caused the ground to slip on the Glangevlin Gap and left the R200 road temporarily impassable.
Other roads in the west Cavan area were also left flooded.

The roads were cleared and there were no reports of lasting damage done to local roads.
Local Councillor John Paul Feeley says it's an event that comes with the terrain, but there could be measures put in place.
