Submissions on plans on the replacement of the Margaret Skinnader roundabout
in Monaghan town can be made until Thursday.
Monaghan County Council plans to build a new roundabout this summer to
improve road safety and the safety of pedestrians.
Among the plans are pedestrian crossings on the Broad Road and Clones Road
approaches and a reduction of the width of the roadways at the roundabout.
The lane around the roundabout will also be reduced in width and other works
will also be carried out.
Monaghan County Council says the plans are in a bid to reduce the speed of
traffic at the busy junction.
Submissions can be made until Thursday (April 1st).
