The Ballybay-Clones MD has agreed to help Killeevan National School to bridge a financial shortfall for fencing works and drainage of the children's play area.
The school received over €22,000 in CLAR funding to complete the project, but work could not commence immediately due to the Covid-19 restrictions.
Killeevan National School is now in a position to begin the works, but says the material costs for the project have increased by more than €3,700.
The MD will now give €1,000 euro to the school for the works which Councillor Seamus Coyle says are "hugely needed".
Meanwhile, Sean Gilliland noted that the MD was in a position to only grant €1,000 to the school due to an agreement made a "number of years ago" that introduced a cap of €1,000 on such payments.
