A Cootehill retailer says broadband operators need to give more notice of internet outages.
The calls come after Councillor Aiden Fitzpatrick called for NBI to explain why the fibre rollout in the county has been behind schedule.
Lisa Pepper, owner of Off The Rack in the town says sudden outages can disconnect card machines and make it more difficult for cashless sales to be transacted.
As President of the local Chamber of Commerce, Lisa says it's not an isolated incident and is impacting on most businesses in the town.
She says if businesses were at least given advanced notice of outages, they could put measures in place.
