Cootehill has been named as a Digital Rising Star for it's 2022 St Patrick's Day celebration.
The Cavan town picked up the award at the recent .IE Digital Town Awards.
Cootehill's entry related to its use of social media and a new website to host the St Patrick's Day parade, which encouraged participation from both local and online communities.

The community also received €8,500 as a reward for their success.
.IE manages Ireland's domain registry and its Digital Town Awards celebrate towns and communities that have embraced technology for the betterment of local people.
