Local company - I/O Agri - is setting its sight on breaking into the European Market. The Cootehill based company has been trading since 2018 across both Ireland and the UK in oder and emission reductions in animal housing units. Since 2018 the business has only gone from strength to strength with plans now to enter into new markets, particularly in Europe.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Sandra Thompson who is Co-Founder of I/O Agri described the company's expansion into the European market as an "exciting time." According to Sandra there is an "exciting space" in the likes of Denmark and the Netherlands which will allow farmers to re-use the gases that they're capturing with our system and use them as green energy. The system will also enable farmers to adopt carbon-farming in line to the EU framework which was proposed in April so it's a really exciting space for us at the moment."
With over 20 years experience delivering sustainable and innovative solutions to business leaders in agriculture, staff at I/O Agri aims to bring sustainable agritech solutions to increase productivity and efficiency and to allow agriculture reach carbon reduction targets.
