Cavan County Council has signed contracts with local firm Crosserlough Construction for the delivery of 13 social homes in two separate developments in Kilnaleck.
The project consists of two developments: Clós Chill na Leice, at Main St Kilnaleck on the site of the former Briody Hardware premises. The second development, Radharc na Beairice is located at Barrack Road, Kilnaleck.
Clós Chill na Leice will see the demolition, renovation, and extension of an existing two-storey building and construction of a new two-storey building to provide eight new one-bed maisonette units.
Radharc na Beairice consists of four new bungalows, and refurbishment and extension of an existing bungalow to deliver four two-bed units and one three-bed unit.
The lead designer on the project is Cavan firm Wynne, Gormley, Gilsenan Architects, and other contractors involved include Renaissance Engineering, Alan Traynor Consulting Engineers, and Walsh Associates Quantity Surveyors.
Speaking following the contract signing, Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council, Cllr TP O’Reilly said, “I’m delighted to sign contracts with Crosserlough Construction for the delivery of these 13 homes, which will reinvigorate the core of Kilnaleck and provide high quality homes for those who need them most”.
