Contracts for the construction of the new enterprise centre in Castleblayney have been signed.
€3.5 million will be spend on the project which is expected to be completed in early 2022.
Funding was announced for this project under the Rural Regeneration Development Fund in 2019.
The centre, known as The Ridge Enterprise and Technology Centre, will be built on a Council site on McGrath Road in Castleblayney town centre.
Monaghan County Council has now awarded Wynne, Gormley and Gilsenan Architects from Cavan the contract to design and build the new facility.
When complete it will see 28 units available for businesses to use, complementing the existing enterprise centre in the town.
Work is expected to get underway shortly with completion in early 2022.
