A Co Cavan councillor has raised his concerns over dangerous road junctions, particularly in the Ballyjamesduff area. Cllr Trevor Smith says councillors like himself receive many calls from constituents who are concerned about dangerous junctions close to them. As a result, Cllr Smith asked how concerns like this should be dealt with going forward at a recent sitting of the Ballyjamesduff Municipal District.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr Smith says that due to an increase in transport on local roads, along with speed, junctions which were never considered dangerous now are. The Fine Gael representative says while concerns can be highlighted, the root of this problem is that there is a lack of money available to improve visibility for motorists.
