Deirdre McCormack has called for something to be done urgently in order to speed up the process for those who are grieving and need answers.

A Co Monaghan woman has raised her concerns over the length of time it has taken to receive her late husband's post-mortem results. Deirdre McCormack lost her husband Harry who had been living with MS suddenly back in February. Deirdre who is still awaiting his post-mortem results six months on has described the lengthy process as "mental torture."

Speaking on today's Joe Finnegan Show, the Co Monaghan woman outlined how an official death certificate cannot be issued nor can life insurance be handed out without post-mortem results. Deirdre believes that "no family" should have to endure the pain of "not knowing" which she says only prolongs the trauma of losing a loved one.
