A local TD believes there should be a complete overhaul when it comes to school bus transport.
Cavan-Monaghan TD Deputy Niamh Smyth believes a Minister of state with responsibility for school transport should be appointed.
It follows a local mother raising her concerns this week over school bus services in Cavan ahead of the start of the school year.
Last week, parents were informed that the bus that services 4 schools in Cavan Town from the areas of Ballinagh, Kilcogy, and Ballyheelan has lost 20 concessionary seats.
Pauline Clarke who is from Kilnaleck says that these 20 rural children who have lost a seat have been on this bus for a number of years.
Deputy Smyth said this isn't fair and more needs to be done when it comes to getting children to and from school.
