Funding has been committed to an initiative that provides period products in all Council-owned buildings in Monaghan.
Last year, councillors passed a motion to provide sanitary products in public buildings.
At this week's County Council meeting, Aoife McCooey asked if a cost-benefit analysis could be carried out on the scheme, so that the Council could consider providing for this in its budget.
Director of Finance, John Murray, said a meeting had recently been held about procurement of the products and dispensers.
He added that it will be rolled out soon and committed to ensuring that there is provision for this in the budget.
Aoife McCooey welcomed the funding security, and said it's "something that has been over looked for years, perhaps because there were not enough women at the table".
