Monaghan company, Combilift, has ceases all trade and operations with Russia and Belarus.
In a statement, the company said it has ceased “all production and sales of equipment to Russia and Belarus”.
It also highlighted how it has “suspended” employment of its Russian-based staff since Monday the 28th of February.
“This was a tough decision to make after building close relationships with our Russian partners and customers who have been a pleasure to do business with since 2005,” a spokesperson added.
“As the situation for civilians in Ukraine worsens, we are deeply concerned for their safety and wellbeing.”
And, in partnership with the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, Combilift has donated €50,000 to “aid the supply of relief assistance” to the people of Ukraine “including people that are displaced and those who are on the move”.
“We hope that those responsible for this conflict will cease military activity and a democratic resolution can be reached.”
Meanwhile, emergency medical supplies and equipment will be sent to Ukraine from Ireland this morning.
‘Medical Help Ukraine’ will deliver five ambulances full of medical equipment and supplies to Dublin airport.
They will be flown out to support medical staff in Ukrainian hospitals who are treating the seriously injured.
This initiative is being supported by Lifeline Ambulance Services which is based in Co Kildare.
