Co Monaghan teen named as Shannonside Northern Sound's "Local Hero"

Mia Black has been chosen as Shannonside Northern Sound's "Local Hero".

The 17 year old from County Monaghan impressed the judges with her song "Just a Habit", coming out as first choice from over 100 entries. Mia will now go forward as Shannonside Northern Sound's representative in the national competition.
21 acts from across the country are hoping for a spot in top 6 which will be announced on September 30th. The final 6 will then compete in The Grande Finale at The Academy in Dublin on October 15th.
