Co Monaghan continues to have one of the lowest uptake rates of the covid-19 vaccine.
Figures released by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre reveal that 84.4% of people aged 12 and up in the county have been fully vaccinated.
Co Monaghan's figure of 84.4% is narrowly ahead of Co Donegal, which has the lowest uptake nationwide at 84.1%.
Monaghan and Donegal are the only counties to have vaccine uptake rates of less than 85% among people aged 12 and up.
The figures are accurate as of the 9th of January and defines fully vaccinated persons as those who have received two doses of a two dose schedule, or one dose of a one dose schedule.
In Co Cavan, 90.1% of people over the age of 12 are fully vaccinated.
Elsewhere, Co Longford has the lowest uptake rate in the Shannonside region, with 89.8% of those aged over 12 fully vaccinated.
That figure is considerably higher in Co Roscommon, where 94.3% of eligible persons are fully vaccinated, and the figure is highest locally in Co Leitrim at 95.5%.
Meanwhile, Waterford continues to have the highest uptake rate nationwide, with 99.2% of people aged over 12 fully vaccinated in the county.
The figures also show that 57.7% of people over the age of 12 have received a booster vaccine.
