A child from Castleblayney has died following a farm accident.
Finn McGrath from Dunaree, Laragh passed away at Temple Street Hospital on Saturday.
The school and Castleblayney communities had been praying for Finn after word spread that he was airlifted to hospital following an accident last week. The Health and Safety Authority confirmed to Northern Sound they are investigating a quad bike accident involving the young boy.
Finn has been described as the "adored, precious son of heartbroken parents, Paul and Caroline, who have asked for a private wake to allow Finn's family the space they need at "this most difficukt of times".
The Lisdoonan National School pupil also leaves behind a brother and sister. At the request of the family, there will be no public wake. The McGrath & Keenan families would like to thank you for your understanding and respect the privacy of the families, to afford them the space needed at this most difficult time.
