Co Monaghan is an area of "deprivation" regarding GP provision.
That's according to local GP, Dr Illona Duffy, who says this is an issue that has been on-going for many years.
Monaghan is one of several regions where General Medical Services panel jobs have remained vacant for a year or more.

It comes amid a warning of a "severe shortage" of GPs by the Irish College of General Practitioners.
