87 per cent of people presenting to hospital with eating disorders are under the age of 24.
Freedom of Information figures show that in 2021, there were 424 people in total hospitalised with anorexia.
These figures relate to those who were hospitalised - but many people suffering with an eating disorder go first to their GP for help.
