Close to 1,500 people remain without power for a second day in the Shannonside Northern Sound region following Storm Barra.
Leitrim remains the county hit hardest in the region, with 1,212 homes and businesses still without electricity following the two day storm.
226 homes are waiting for the power to be restored in parts of Roscommon, while there are still a handful of outages in Cavan and Longford.
Nationally, 8,000 homes and businesses are still without power this morning.
The majority of those affected are along Atlantic coastal counties and in the south-east, with ESB crews working into the night to restore power.
A number of boil water notices are also in place in parts of the west due to treatment issues caused by the storm.
Meanwhile many schools are reopening today following storm enforced closures.
