Close to 1,000 Ukrainian refugees have arrived in Cavan and Monaghan since the beginning of the war with Russia.
Latest CSO figures, as of the 7th of August, reveal there have been just under 48,000 arrivals from Ukraine in Ireland.
This includes 776 in Cavan, while Monaghan has welcomed 215 Ukrainian refugees.
Women aged over 20 account for almost half of arrivals, while those aged 19 or under account for 36 per cent.
For two thirds of those who attended employment events, English proficiency was noted as a challenge to securing employment.
Meanwhile, the figures also show almost 6,900 children have enrolled in primary and secondary school - Dublin had the highest number while Monaghan had the lowest.
