The coalition government in the south pledged €600m to the A5 project and €50 million towards the development of Casement Park.

The fundraising event will take place in Clones this Sunday from 2pm until 5pm.

Local Gardai had extended the county’s community policing model via a clinic service.

Chief Fire Officer for Monaghan, Dermot Brannigan, said the blaze has been brought under control and they are in the cleaning up stage of their operation.

The site will be developed to make a reflective place for people to come and remember their loved ones.

This would include stops in Cavan, Clones, Monaghan, Armagh and Portadown, allowing links to Belfast.
