The matter came before Judge John Aylmer at a sitting of Monaghan Circuit Court this morning.

The case of a man charged with causing death by dangerous driving of Clones teenagers Kiea McCann and Dlava Mohammed has been adjourned.

The matter came before Judge John Aylmer at a sitting of Monaghan Circuit Court this morning.

60 year old Anthony McGinn of Drumloo, Newbliss, Co Monaghan is charged with dangerous driving causing the deaths of 17-year-old Kiea McCann and 16-year-old Dlava Mohammed at Legnakelly, Clones on July 31 2023. The two teenagers died when the car they were travelling in struck a tree while they were on their way to the debs. Mr McGinn is also charged with dangerous driving causing serious bodily harm to Avid Mohammed on the same occasion.

The matter was listed for mention this morning, with the prosecution and defence agreeing to adjourn the matter to the next court term, which will sit in January, under the same terms and conditions.
