"People need to be careful and have respect for the water." That's according to Sinn Fein's Cllr Pat Treanor who highlighted the importance of water safety following the recent opening of the new marina in Clones. While welcoming the completion of the marina section of the Ulster Canal, Cllr Treanor said that he is also "conscious" of making sure people can enjoy it while remaining safe. With the new marina now a thriving attraction for younger people during the summer months, Cllr Treanor outlined the importance of people taking all necessary precautions when it comes to water safety.
