Cllr Smith believes that a lack of funding for upgrade works is at the root of this problem.

Route 186 is servicing Gibbstown, Kells, Moynalty, Mullagh, Virginia, Ballyjamesduff and Cross Keys.

Cllr Smith is hopeful that with continued pressure, a local link service between Ballyjamesduff and Cavan will soon be available to members of the public.

Due to be completed in 2025, the project will redevelop and refurbish the former Percy French Hotel.
