Monaghan Town will celebrate it's traditional Christmas Light switch on this Sunday from 4-6pm.
This will be the first time that people can gather together in a public space to celebrate the festivities since the Covid pandemic.
Speaking to Northern Sound, PRO of the Monaghan Town Christmas Light Committee, Brian Clerkin said the event will bring a day of festive fun for all to enjoy:
Meanwhile the, festivities just don't stop there, as the community of Castleblayney will also celebrate it's switch on later tonight at 7pm.
According to Cllr Aidan Campbell, current champions Castleblayney Faughs will switch the lights on before they travel to their next big game in Luxemburg on Sunday for the All Ireland Quarter Final against Brussels:
