Christmas day swims to take place locally

A number of Christmas day swims are taking place across the Northern Sound region today.
The Lough Ramor swim will start at 12:30pm supporting St Christopher's Hospice, Virginia Community Care social, and Virginia Cancer Fund.
This event raised €10,000 last year.

Elsewhere in Ballyjamesduff, a swim in Lacken Lake gets underway at 12:30pm with proceeds going to the day oncology ward at the Mater Hospital.
While in Bailieborough, another swim in the town lake starts at 12:30pm with funds going to the Cavan Branch MS.
Finally, Cavan Icebreakers are due to host their 55th annual swim in Annagh Lake, Butlersbridge this morning.
