As a volunteer-led organisation with no core government funding, SOSAD says it's confronting a "devastating funding shortfall."

"We want to secure our future and we are taking steps at the moment in order to ensure that," says Christine Wynne of SOSAD Cavan.

According to Christine, people don't have to be at "crisis point" to avail of mental health services.

Christine believes it is important to help raise awareness of local SOSAD services and the increasing need for mental health support across local communities.

The series sees broadcaster, Hector Ó hEochagáin travel across the country.

SOSAD Cavan offer support and services for people who are struggling with suicidal ideation, self harming, depression, bereavement, stress and anxiety, or if you simply need to talk.
