The Chief Executive of Kingspan says the "conduct" of "a small number of
employees in the UK" has been "unacceptable".
In a statement on the Grenfell Tower Inquiry, Gene Murtagh said these
"historical process shortcomings" do not reflect Kingspan's "high
standards".
Kingspan says it "had no role in the design of the cladding system used on
Grenfell Tower", where its K15 product made up around 5% of the insulation.
It added that the product was used without Kingspan's knowledge in a system
that "was unsafe".
In its 2020 financial report, the company outlined the steps it has taken in
response to the Grenfell Tower Fire.
Kingspan say "substantial changes" have been made to its UK Insulation
Boards business, including new fire testing and accreditation protocols.
