CG Power Systems has announced a rebrand.
The Cavan town-based company will now be known as Kyte Powertech.
The move comes after it was announced in June that over 400 jobs were to be saved after MML Growth Capital Partners announced it was to buy the company from liquidators.
The new branding is said to be a significant step as the business prepares itself for the future of electrical transformer production.
“Kyte” is inspired by Benjamin Franklin’s discovery of the link between electricity and lightning.
First opened in Cavan as Pawels Trafo in 1977, Kyte will continue to be led by Managing Director, Stephanie Leonard.
