Monaghan man Gerry Harte has been jailed for eight years for the sexual abuse of his three younger siblings in "a house of horrors."

Back in 1998, Derry O’Rourke was jailed for twelve years for sexually abusing young girls from 1976 to 1992.

The complainant was between 13 and 14 years old at the time.

The trial, which is expected to last a week, continues before Ms Justice Melanie Greally and a jury. 

Mr Justice Paul McDermott set a trial date of July 8, 2024.

A 33-year-old Slovakian native was unanimously found guilty of the schoolteacher's murder

The trial continues today.

Closing statements will be delivered to the jury of the Ashling Murphy murder trial later today.
