Monaghan Macra na Feirme is celebrating 80 years this weekend.
An event to mark the milestone will take place this evening in the Hillgrove Hotel.
James McElearney is the current chairman of Monaghan Macra na Feirme.

According to James, Monaghan Macra are "going strong" with five clubs now up and running despite the difficulties that were presented to them as a result of the Covid pandemic.
James hopes this evening's event will promote Macra and help the rural youth of various local areas:
