CBRE have confirmed the sale of the Nuremore Hotel Carrickmacross Co Monaghan for an undisclosed price. The property was sold on behalf of Declan De Lacy Liquidator of Nubility Capital Ltd. The hotel was offered for sale with a guide price of €6m.
The Nuremore Hotel, which ceased trading in 2023, was a business synonymous with hospitality in the North East region. The business was established and developed by Julie Gilhooly, and family, who retired from the business in 2020 when the hotel was sold to The Kylin Prime Group as a going concern.
The Nuremore Hotel is located just outside Carrickmacross in Co.Monaghan approx. 2 km from the town centre on the old Ardee Road. The hotel is nestled in the picturesque rolling countryside of Monaghan, offering a serene and scenic setting. This hotel is ideally and strategically located, being easily accessible from both Dublin (85km) and Belfast (100km). The hotel attracted business from a wide hinterland both north and south of the border.
Carrickmacross is a busy market town, centrally located between Dundalk, Monaghan town, Cavan and Ardee. The town is a heritage town with many fine historical buildings and is famous for Carrickmacross lace. The town is the second-largest town in Co. Monaghan. Carrickmacross is known for its rich history and vibrant culture. The 70-bedroom hotel is located on a 160-acre of parkland. Its facilities include restaurant, bar, leisure centre and a large function room. The hotel benefits from two extensive car parking areas with access from the Dundalk Road and the old Ardee Road.
Function and Conference Room
Offering an impressive garden view this was previously an extremely popular wedding venue with a choice of indoor or outdoor ceremony options. The venue offered catering and banqueting facilities for approximately 350 guests.
The conference centre is a custom-built facilities for business meetings and conferences. Kavanagh Conference Rooms can accommodate meetings and conferences for 2-20 delegates.
For larger events of up to 50 delegates, the Kavanagh Suite & CarraigRooms offer garden views. The Conference Room can seat up to 700 delegates in a Theatre Style and is an ideal exhibition room, offering a spacious anti room and direct access.
