Cavan's Thomas Duffy has been elected to the European Council of Young Farmers.
The Virginia-native is the latest in a line of Macra officials sit at the CEJA board.
Duffy was president of Macra na Feirme until his two-year term ended in April of this year, and replaces another former Macra President, Sean Finan at European level.
CEJA works to act as a communicator between young farmers across Europe, and the decision-makers on the continent.
Thomas Duffy says he's honoured to take up the position of vice-president, which will be on a much larger scale to what he's done before.
