Restaurants and pubs across Cavan, Monaghan, Fermanagh and Meath have emerged victorious in the All-Ireland Restaurant Awards which took place on Monday.
Cavan’s Olde Post Inn scooped the Ulster accolade in the Best Sustainable Practices category while The Hive in Monaghan won the best Free Form category. Charlie's Bar in Enniskillen became the Ulster Pub of the Year while McNean House and Restaurant in Blacklion clinched the Best Hotel & Guesthouse Restaurant in Ulster accolade.
The Oak Room in Cavan won the Best Customer Service category while the Vanilla Pod Restaurant in Kells emerged victorious in the Best Restaurant Manager category. President of the Restaurants Association of Ireland, Paul Lenehan, said the event provided an opportunity to celebrate the talent that was evident in the sector.
“This has been an outstanding year for the Irish Restaurant Awards which is now in its thirteenth year," he continued.
"We have surpassed previous years' online public nominations with over 100,000 received in June and our regional events held in August and September in Meath, Cavan, Cork and Leitrim had almost 3,000 attendees."
