The county had been 13th on the table but has now moved to 9th after the rate increased to 294 from 269.
There were 25 cases confirmed there yesterday.
Meanwhile, Monaghan's rate continues to fall despite remaining top of the table nationally.
It now sits at 451, with 12 cases confirmed yesterday.
Nationally, no new deaths were reported last night - the first time that's happened since December 21st, while 821 new cases were detected.
In public hospitals overnight there were 849 people with the virus, which is below the peak of the first wave for the first time since early January.
Last night 158 people with the disease were in intensive care.
