The Imperial Bar in Cavan Town has just been named the "Best National Live Music Venue of the Year 2024".
The family-run Imperial has, for over 20 years, been known as a vibrant live music venue hosting live acts in their bar every Thursday to Sunday. In any given weekend, punters can see acts as diverse as tribute bands, to twisted trad, country and dance music acts at the Imperial. Now, the entertainment complex in Townparks Cavan has been awarded the prestigious title by IMRO, the Irish Rights Music Organisation.
The shortlist of nominees were selected by over 20,000 IMRO members with a public vote then awarding the National Live Music Venue of the Year 2024 accolade to The Imperial Bar, The Imperial fought off competition from venues such as Vicar Street and the 3Olympia Theatre to come out on top.
