A Cavan woman is hoping to become the Vice President of Macra na Feirme in the North-West Region.
Luna Orofiamma,who lives in Butlersbridge and is a member of the Ramor club is the sole nominee in the race for the area.
She has been a member of the organisation for 10 years and says that she has gained many opportunities, friendships, and skillsets through her involvement.

The nomination process for Macra’s presidential and vice-presidential candidates has now closed and there are two candidates for the presidency, both from Tipperary.
They will replace Virginia’s, Thomas Duffy the current president, following the election on Wednesday April 7th.
