A Cavan woman diagnosed with Parkinson's has raised over 16,000 euros for DBS research.
Margaret Fox from Boxhill was diagnosed at 44 with the disease and after a long wait is scheduled for DBS Brain Surgery in September.
She hopes that this will help reverse the debilitating effect Parkinson's had on her life and give her a quality of life she hasn't had in recent years.
The Dublin Neurological Institute (DNI) and Consultant Neurosurgeon at Beaumont Hospital Catherine Moran are behind the research into DBS in Ireland and Margaret wants to give back.
She hopes that the funds she is raising through her Go Fund Me page will help them purchase new equipment:
