Cavan Town has been listed in the top 3 finalists of the All Ireland best kept town competition.
According to Cavan Tidy Towns this means the county town is guaranteed a top 3 finish and has a very serious chance of winning the all island competition.
Paul Lynch is the Secretary of Cavan Tidy Towns said that based on last year's result in the competition, the national tidy towns authority put the local group forward to take part in Ireland's Best Kept Town competition. He added that taking part will draw great attention to Cavan Town and and a win would put on the national map.
He says the group has been overwhelmed with messages of support from home and abroad following the the top 3 placing countrywide. Paul says all roads lead to Belfast on the 18th of June for the results ceremony.
