Cavan is set to take centre stage with a special programme on TG4 this evening.
Scéalta na gCorn sees Gráinne McElwain, who hails from Monaghan, visit the Breffni County to find out the stories behind the names of some of the counties most sought after trophies. She hears how the football trophy in the province - the Anglo-Celt Cup - got its name and finds out about a tournament played in memory of footballing hero John Joe O'Reilly. Gráinne also discovers the county's newest cup for the Senior Hurling Championship - The Tom Walsh Cup and learns of the silverware named after younger players such as the Michelle Keating Cup and the Amy Sheridan Cup.
The episode will air on TG4 this evening at 8:30pm.
